My Belief: A Health Planet is Integral to Healthy People.
Originally from New England, I am an avid outdoors enthusiast who has lived in the Colorado mountains above 8,500’ near the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park for the last 15 years. Skiing, hiking, paddling, and fly fishing are among my passions, and I cherish spending time outdoors with my husband and our Australian Cattle Dog, Tank. *See Land Acknowledgment below
I hold a bachelor's degree in adventure education and ecopsychology, a master's degree in environmental leadership and sustainability, and have 15+ years of professional experience supporting purpose-led organizations in increasing outdoor access, conserving public lands, and addressing health equity. I also hold certifications and training in Nonviolent Communication, Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction, Wilderness Rites of Passage, and Authentic Leadership. I am a former rock climbing instructor, whitewater rafter, backpacking leader, certified in backcountry restoration trail work, an adventure education program board member and a former Wilderness EMT.
My professional experience includes supporting purpose-driven organizations such as Grand Canyon Youth, Backcountry.com, Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado, Outdoor Industry Association, Avid4 Adventure, The Trust for Public Land and, most recently, Mission Marketing Colorado.
With a deep commitment to health equity, sustainability and environmental conservation, I recognize the well-being of our planet, communities, and ourselves is fundamentally interconnected. This inspired me to learn more about sustainable behavior change practices, integrative wellness, social determinants of health and evidence-based coaching methodologies.
As a Health and Wellness Coach currently pursuing the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) certification, I view health coaching as a bio-individual experience that fosters transformative change through confidence-building experiences. Together, we'll establish achievable goals that ignite lasting behavior changes and self-efficacy.
Interests + Volunteering
I envision a world where comprehensive well-being is the foundation for tackling environmental and social challenges, leading to a more equitable, just, and healthy future for all.
I have lived in the mountains of Colorado above 8,500 feet near the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park for the last 15 years. I would be remiss to discuss whole-person wellness without acknowledging the land upon which our wellbeing is interwoven. Native peoples that are the original stewards of the land on which our homes and communities stand today. My home is near Left Hand Canyon, part of an unceded territory named after Chief Left Hand (Niwot or Nawath), leader of the last Hinóno’éí band. This land belonged to Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ (Ute), Hinono'eino' biito'owu' (Arapaho), and Tséstho'e (Cheyenne) people, among other Native American nations.
